Job summary

Pinnacle Propane is seeking a propane service technician in Dallas, TX to safely deliver propane to residential and commercial customers and to perform maintenance, inspections, and repairs on propane systems. You will load/unload propane, follow DOT and OSHA regulations, complete documentation, and communicate clearly with customers to ensure safe operations.

Responsibilities include installing service lines, testing for leaks, diagnosing equipment, and performing preventative maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum one year propane service, HVAC, plumbing, mechanical or related field experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record; CDL with Tanker Endorsement or ability to obtain.
• Hazmat endorsement or ability to obtain; DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate; DOT drug/alcohol testing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Install, set, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and remove propane tanks, cylinders, regulators, piping, and related equipment.
• Install underground/above-ground propane service lines per NFPA 54/58, DOT, and local regs.
• Conduct gas leak tests, pressure tests, and safety inspections before service.
• Diagnose and repair propane appliances and equipment (water heaters, furnaces, fireplaces, etc.).
• Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled inspections on customer propane systems.
• Ensure installations/repairs meet safety standards and codes; maintain vehicle/equipment in good condition.
• Respond to emergency service calls per safety procedures; communicate safety concerns to management.
