Job summary

Stantec is seeking an On Call Project Biologist to support our Environmental Services Practice in Southern California. You will perform field surveys, wetland assessments, and reporting while coordinating with project leads and clients.

The role offers flexible work locations and opportunities across California. The position emphasizes biological/wetland resources, with travel required within Southern California and collaboration across multiple projects for a growing environmental consulting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biology or related field; minimum 1 year in Southern California.
• Ability to travel for field surveys and monitoring.
• Knowledge of GPS and GIS data collection methods.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field work: breeding bird surveys, vegetation assessments, wetlands delineation, monitoring.
• Assist with technical report preparation (biological resources, reports, delineation, monitoring).
• Maintain knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices.
• Travel within Southern California for field work and site visits.
