Job summary

GLCAP in Ohio is seeking an on-call seasonal helper to support early childhood, school-age, and administrative programs. You will assist with classroom activities, meal service, office operations, and facility needs while maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment in line with agency policies.

Position requires a high school diploma or GED and experience with children or in a support services role is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience working with children or in a support services role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organize, sanitize, and store classroom equipment and supplies.
• Assist in coordinating and implementing lesson plans and classroom and recreational activities.
• Assist with home visits.
• Assist with record keeping duties and preparing and maintaining program materials.
• Assist in enforcing self-care activities and enforcing safety rules and procedures.
• Set up and take down classroom and lunch equipment.
• Ensure dishes, trays and food service areas are cleaned daily.
• Maintain accurate meal count; prepare meals and snacks.
• Distribute meals and snacks to individual classrooms.
• Restock groceries and supplies.
• Arrange tables and classroom equipment; clean and sanitize toys.
