Job summary

Head Start Department seeks an on-call ECE Assistant to support preschool classrooms on the Colville Reservation. This short notice, non-exempt role requires reporting within one hour of notification and serves under the ECE Site Supervisor.

Minimum qualifications include a GED/high school diploma with CDA or equivalent in early childhood education within two years, First Aid/CPR, health clearance, TB test, and a food handler card within three weeks.

Qualifications

• Requires completion of GED/High School diploma within 6 months of hire and CDA or equivalent in early childhood education within two years of hire.
• First Aid/CPR certification, Health Clearance, TB Test required.
• Must obtain a food handler's card within 3 weeks of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist one or more early childhood teachers in education, care, supervision, and instruction of preschool-aged children.
• Support play, learning activities, and record information for communications.
• Relate positively to students and interact with teachers, students, and parents.
