Whiting Forensic Hospital in Middletown, CT is hiring multiple On-Call Physicians to join our dedicated team. This on‑call role supports 16‑hour weekday shifts from 4:30 pm to 8:30 am or 24‑hour weekend shifts from 8:30 am to 8:30 am.

Formación

• Knowledge of medicine and surgery.
• Assessment and treatment of medical, mental health, and substance abuse disorders.
• Current developments in medicine and substance abuse.
• Interpersonal skills.
• Oral and written communication.
• Ability to examine, diagnose, and treat patients with medical and/or substance abuse disorders.
• Prescribe medications and other treatments.
• Analyze and interpret lab tests and reports.
• Maintain accurate patient records and charts.

Responsabilidades

• Provide 24-hour medical supervision to patients and facility coverage as scheduled.
• Examine, diagnose and medically treat patients.
• Develop and monitor integrated treatment plans.
• Interview, examine and admit patients to treatment.
• Perform physical examinations and order tests.
• Coordinate treatment with other therapeutic programs.
• Maintain medical records and reports per hospital policy.
