Job summary

McKinley Park Care Center is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant on-Call to support the Physical Therapy team in resident care. The role requires collaborating with the supervising PT to implement treatment plans and ensure accurate documentation.

An Associate Degree from an accredited PTA program and California PTA licensure are required. Proficiency with Net Health and Point Click Care is preferred, with strong communication to residents, families, and the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist with resident care and treatment as directed.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation per facility and payer requirements.
• Keep a safe, clean treatment environment and follow infection control protocols.
• Coordinate with the supervising PT to update physicians and staff on progress and discharge plans.
• Provide in-services and education to staff on treatment goals, home exercise programs, and safety.
• Recommend and assist with ordering durable medical equipment to support mobility.
