The role requires an associate degree from an accredited PTA program, strong computer skills with Net Health and Point Click Care, and the ability to read procedures and policies. This full-time position offers hourly pay and benefits in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Education and/or Experience: Associate Degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Proficient in computer skills such as inputting data into Net Health and Point Click Care.
• Language Skills: Ability to read technical procedures.
• Ability to read and comprehend policy and procedure manuals.
• Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, coworkers and families.
• Mathematical Skills: apply fractions, percentages, ratios.
• Reasoning Ability: solve practical problems.
• Ability to interpret written or schedule instructions.

Responsibilities

• Treat residents as directed by the Physical Therapist.
• Complete timely, accurate documentation per facility and payer requirements.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment with infection control and equipment protocols.
• Participate in Resident Care conferences and Rehabilitation meetings as needed.
• Remain in accordance with California Laws related to PTA practice.
• Assist nursing with training of Restorative Aides.
• Communicate with supervising PT to provide timely updates to physicians, nursing staff, and families.
• Provide in-services on training programs for staff as needed.
• Educate residents and families on treatment goals, home exercise programs, safety techniques, and fall prevention.
• Recommend and facilitate ordering of necessary durable medical equipment for independence.
