Job summary

Ark Chicago is seeking a PRN/Per Diem Pharmacist to cover vacations, illnesses, and scheduling needs in a small, community-focused setting. You will dispense medications and perform clinical reviews, while communicating clearly with clients and providers.

You report to the Director of Pharmacy and collaborate with medical staff to ensure safe, compassionate patient care. This role emphasizes independence, cultural sensitivity, and Jewish values in service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Doctor of Pharmacy.
• Experience dispensing in a retail, community, or clinical pharmacy setting.
• Experience with Liberty pharmacy software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Dispense prescription medications accurately and per provider orders.
• Review prescriptions for dosing, interactions, and appropriateness.
• Contact prescribing providers to clarify orders or resolve concerns.
• Counsel clients on medication purpose, dosing, risks, and side effects.
• Explain risks clearly and with health-literacy sensitivity.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and accurate pharmacy records.
