Job summary

Interlochen Center for the Arts is seeking a Part-Time On Call Custodian/Cleaner to provide year-round coverage across our Interlochen campus in Interlochen, MI. The role supports classrooms, offices, residence halls, and common areas with flexible shifts and a minimum commitment of eight hours every three months to stay active.

Responsibilities include floor care, restroom sanitation, trash removal, and coordination with EVS for events and high-volume days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• No prior custodial experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
• Ability to collaborate with Environmental Services team on projects.
• Familiarity with custodial PPE and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Clean and care for assigned buildings and spaces across campus.
• Perform routine tasks: vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, sanitizing restrooms, trash removal.
• Take ownership of spaces based on daily use, events, and schedules.
• Work with EVS team on large spaces, events, and peak needs.
• Prepare spaces for students, staff, guests, and performances.
• Respond to spills and custodial requests during shifts.
