Job summary

Michigan State University Infrastructure Planning and Facilities (IPF) is seeking on-call custodial support to maintain MSU facilities, assisting with cleaning and related tasks in a dynamic university environment.

These positions require flexible hours, including days, nights, and weekends to support university events. Regular in-person attendance is expected, with hours typically ranging from 20–32 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Frequent lifting of over 75 pounds is required.

Responsibilities

• 40% - Cleaning (restrooms, arena seating areas, sweeping/dusting, mopping floors). Refurbishing, repairing, and occasional painting of equipment; receive and store supplies.
• Staff will be assigned to a specific event building as primary, but may be rotated across the university to meet labor demands.
• Engage in high performing practices, valuing people, partners and stewardship.
