Job summary

The Neurodiagnostic Assistant at University of Kentucky will support Neurodiagnostic Technologists in the Neurosciences department. Duties include stocking supplies, preparing patient rooms, and monitoring EEG patients under supervision, with emphasis on clear communication with patients and staff.

Qualifications require a High School or GED and AHA/BLS certification at hire. The role is on-call with physical requirements as described and opportunities within a dynamic clinical team.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required.
• AHA BLS for Healthcare Provider certification required at time of hire.
• Ability to lift, carry, push and pull 50–100 pounds daily; stand, walk, and sit for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and stock supplies and equipment; prepare patient rooms for neurodiagnostic procedures.
• Monitor continuous EEG patients under supervision of a Neurodiagnostic Technician.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families and staff.
• Remove and clean equipment after procedures.
• Additional duties as assigned.
