Job summary

Barrett & Stokely is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our Indianapolis-area property team. You will perform preventative maintenance, respond to resident requests, and handle diverse trades such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC.

You will participate in after-hours on-call rotations and help ensure units are ready for turnover within five business days. The ideal candidate has at least two years in maintenance, EPA certification, and owns basic tools.

Qualifications

• Two years of maintenance experience or equivalent.
• EPA certification required or preferred.
• Must own basic tools to perform building maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance tasks as directed by Maintenance Supervisor and update records.
• Provide excellent customer service and quickly resolve maintenance requests.
• Handle plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliance, drywall repairs and other maintenance tasks.
• Participate in after-hours on-call rotation and respond to emergencies.
• Complete work orders within five business days of vacancy and turn over units as needed.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment.
