Job summary

Memorial Hermann seeks an MRI Technologist to perform MRI procedures, prepare patients, and ensure imaging quality for radiologists to diagnose and treat patients. The role requires ARRT-MR or ARMRIT certification and BLS/ALS, with a focus on patient safety and accurate data handling.

The incumbent will collaborate across the radiology team, adhere to safety standards, and participate in ongoing education to provide compassionate, personalized care within Memorial Hermann's patient-first culture.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Certified in Basic Life Support or Advanced Life Support is required.
• ARRT-MR or ARMRIT MR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs MRI procedures, prepares patients, explains procedures, administers contrast when necessary, and positions patients for scanning with technical quality.
• Enters and monitors patient data.
• Performs quality assurance on MRI equipment and matrix camera; may assist with accreditation renewals.
• Identifies and reports accidents, complaints or equipment malfunctions to management.
• Assists with emergency calls within the department.
• Maintains safe patient, staff and visitor care; adheres to Memorial Hermann policies and standards; manages time, supplies and productivity.
• Supports professional growth and acts as preceptor to less experienced staff.
• Demonstrates compassionate, personalized service; upholds Memorial Hermann service standards.
