Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform MRI procedures, prepare patients for exams, and ensure high-quality imaging. You will position patients, select imaging techniques, and administer contrast when necessary.

The role requires ARRT-MR or ARMRIT MR certification and BLS, with a focus on safety, accuracy, and patient comfort in a busy radiology department.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• ARRT-MR or ARMRIT MR registration/cellow required.

Responsibilities

• Performs MRI procedures, prepares patients, explains the procedure and administers contrast when necessary.
• Positions patients for MRI, selects imaging techniques and ensures scan quality.
• Conducts quality assurance on MRI equipment and helps with accreditation processes.
• Monitors patient data and documents information accurately.
• Responds to accidents, complaints or equipment malfunctions and reports to management.
• Takes emergency call within the department and ensures safe care for patients and staff.
