Job summary

Giving Home Health Care is seeking a dedicated HME Service Technician to deliver, set up, and educate patients on home medical equipment in patients' homes. This on-call role requires physical work, strong communication, and precise documentation to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, access to a suitable vehicle, and 1–2 years in medical equipment delivery or similar. Brightree experience is a plus and a clean driving record is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Owns a truck, van, or large SUV to transport DME items.
• 1–2 years of medical equipment delivery/maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of hospital beds, wheelchairs, oxygen concentrators, CPAP devices.
• Experience with Brightree preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
• On-call availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong verbal and written communication to document deliveries.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, set up, and assemble HME/DME in patients' homes.
• Install DME/HME items in patient homes (grab bars, etc.).
• Educate patients and caregivers on proper use and safety.
• Perform checks to ensure functionality before delivery.
• Clean, disinfect, and test equipment before and after delivery.
• Troubleshoot equipment in the field and perform repairs as needed.
• Respond to on-call requests for delivery or replacement.
• Document all services, education, and outcomes as required.
