Gallaher Signature Living is seeking on call Caregiver(s) in Memory Care to join our team in California. Through attentive service and compassion, you support residents by promoting dignity, choice, independence, and overall wellbeing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior caregiving experience in assisted living, memory care, or related setting preferred.
• Ability to safely use mobility aids and basic household appliances.
• First Aid and CPR certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with ADLs including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and continence care.
• Support mobility, ambulation, transfers, and safe use of mobility aids.
• Assist with mealtime service, including delivery, setup, and feeding as permitted.
• Respond to call systems and resident requests to ensure safety and comfort.
• Observe and report changes in residents’ condition to licensed staff per policies.
• Perform light housekeeping related to resident care to maintain a safe environment.
• Encourage resident participation in maintaining personal living spaces for independence.
• Offer warm companionship and engage residents in activities and social events.
• Promote a respectful, inclusive, and compliant living environment.
• Adhere to community policies, infection control, and resident rights.
