Job summary

Gallaher Signature Living in California is seeking a full-time Caregiver in Assisted Living to support residents with daily routines, mobility, meals, and companionship in an elegant, active living environment.

We value dignity, independence, and wellbeing, with training provided. Compensation ranges from $19.00 to $22.75 per hour, with comprehensive benefits for full-time team members.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent is required.
• Prior caregiving experience in assisted living, memory care, or related setting preferred; training provided.
• Ability to safely use mobility aids, adaptive equipment, and basic household appliances.
• First Aid and CPR certification preferred (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
• Basic computer skills including email and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ADLs: bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting with dignity and privacy.
• Support mobility and transfers using walkers, wheelchairs, and gait belts.
• Assist with mealtime service, delivery, setup, and feeding as allowed.
• Respond to calls and requests promptly to ensure safety and comfort.
• Observe and report changes per Title 22 requirements to licensed staff.
• Light housekeeping related to resident care, like laundry and tidying spaces.
• Engage residents with companionship and community activities.
