Job summary

WHITERIVERMC is seeking a licensed Medication Aide to assist in administering medications to residents under physician orders, nurse supervision, and facility policies.

You will follow procedures, document accurately, monitor residents, and maintain confidentiality, while collaborating with physicians, pharmacists, and nursing staff.

This position requires a state license, high school diploma, and ability to read and write reports; evening and weekend coverage may be required.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school education or equivalent.
• Licensed Medication Aide with state-approved training and examinations.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general procedures and regulations.
• Ability to write reports and communicate effectively with staff.

Responsibilities

• Follow facility policies governing administration of medications.
• Accurately prepare, administer, and document medications as ordered.
• Verify resident identity prior to medication administration.
• Record vital signs and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident health information.
• Document and report medication errors promptly.
• Cooperate with nursing staff and participate in QA programs.
• Prepare necessary forms, charts, and reports as required.
