Job summary

Responsibilities

• Transcribe reports from physicians and other clinical staff into the LIS
• Make corrections and edits as per Pathologist instructions
• Provide verbal, STAT and malignant results to clients when applicable
• Obtain patient clinical history when applicable
• May participate in training of new staff
• Prepare outside consultation cases for send-out to the client
• Maintain Send-out/Consultation log
• May assign CPT codes after training
• Identify problems that may affect test performance or reporting and notify supervisors
• Follow all SOPs including Pathologist Electronic Signature Guidelines
