Job summary

Qualifications

• BS in Medical Technology or related science preferred.
• 1 year clinical experience (high complexity testing) preferred.
• On-call MLS position with shift differential may apply (10% second shift, 15% third shift).
• Follow CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting and maintaining records of patient test results.
• Maintain records demonstrating proficiency testing samples are tested like patient specimens.
• Analyze specimens using approved testing procedures.
• Review and release test results.
• Follow CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA guidelines and safety policies.
• Identify problems that may affect test performance and notify supervisor when needed.
