Job summary

Kamehameha Schools, Hawaii Campus, seeks a caring Medical Assistant to join the Malama Ola team on an on-call basis. You will provide health room assistance, basic patient care, and administrative support while supporting students across the K-8 to K-12 campus.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of medical experience, a current BLS certification, a valid driver's license, and strong interpersonal, organizational, and computer skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of related work experience.
• Current and valid driver’s license.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
• Excellent organizational skills and computer proficiency.
• Experience with office software and electronic health records preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support nursing staff with student care and health room operations.
• Take vital signs and assist with basic wound care.
• Maintain and process health records and medical documentation.
• Transport students to and from the health room as needed.
• Provide administrative and computer-based support to health room operations.
• Triages patients under supervision and documents care provided.
• Assist with health room program preparation and inventory management.
