Job summary

Kamehameha Schools, Hawaii Campus is looking for a caring and dependable Medical Assistant to join our Malama Ola team on an on-call basis. You will provide health room assistance, basic patient care, and administrative support.

While based primarily in the K-8 Health Room, you'll support haumana across our K-12 campus and work alongside our nursing staff to meet day-to-day health room needs. This temporary role offers flexible shifts with on-call coverage for staff absences, typically Monday

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of medical or healthcare experience.
• Current BLS certification.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Flexible availability.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and computer skills.

Kamehameha Schools, Hawaii Campus is looking for a caring and dependable Medical Assistant to join our Malama Ola team on an on‑call basis. In this role, you will provide health room assistance, basic patient care, and administrative support.

While based primarily in the K‑8 Health Room, you'll get to support haumana across our K‑12 campus and work alongside our nursing staff to meet the day‑to‑day health room needs.

What You’ll Do

• Support nursing staff with student care and health room operations
• Patient Care: Take vital signs and assist with basic wound care
• Help maintain health records and process medical documentation
• Transport students to and from the health room as needed
• Provide administrative and computer‑based support to ensure smooth daily operations

Work Schedule

• This will be a temporary role through the end of June (With a possibility for extension).
• On‑call to cover staff sick/vacation days.
• Typical shifts would be during Monday‑Friday, 7:00 AM‑3:00 PM
• Occasional off‑hours shifts may be available for special events

• Minimum Qualifications - An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of the requirements listed.
