Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant training program or LPN license.
• MA certificate of completion from an accredited program or LPN license.
• Knowledge of patient confidentiality, HIPAA, and EMR procedures.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates communication between patient and provider.
• Prepare patient for visit: rooming, vitals, intake paperwork, EMR data entry.
• Assist in PROs and Quality Payment Programs as needed.
• Maintain clean exam rooms and restock supplies daily.
• Monitor biohazard and sharps containers; replace as needed.
• Assist with prescriptions and related patient forms.
• Return voicemails within 24 business hours and document actions in EMR.
• Prepare patient electronic charts before service date.
• Verify outstanding testing results in EMR and note needed imaging or casting.
• Scan clinical documents into EMR.
• Print clinic schedules in the morning.
• Provide patient education as indicated by the provider.
• Manage EMR desktops for assigned providers.
• Act as PTO Buddy per clinic plan.
• Create and promote positive patient experience.
