Job summary

The CORE Institute in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to support orthopedic care. You will room patients, collect vitals, prepare for provider visits, and document in the EMR to ensure accurate and timely records.

Ideal candidates hold CMA certification and have completed an accredited MA program; 1–2 years in orthopedics is preferred. Recent graduates with state grandfathering eligibility may also qualify, with a strong patient‑centered approach.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience in orthopedics, spine surgery, or pain management preferred.
  • Graduated from a formal training program within the last 12-18 months and have the CMA certificate; or grandfathered per state regulation.
  • Experience with office medical procedures and treatments and knowledge of insurance, managed care operations, EMR and scheduling software.
  • High school diploma/GED and graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant training program as defined by state regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates communication between the patient and the provider during patient care.
  • Collect and share pertinent information with the provider and act on directives.
  • Prepare the patient for visit with the provider, including rooming, vitals, intake paperwork, and EMR data entry.
  • Assist with company initiatives such as PROs and Quality Payment Programs.
  • Maintain exam room standards and ensure rooms are restocked and cleaned daily.
