Job description

Hourly Pay Rate: $16.50 + Commission and Gratuity Eligible

Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:

1. Three to six months related spa experience required.
2. Current and up to date state licensing required.
3. High work ethic, self-initiative, independent judgment.
4. Proven customer service and problem solving experience.
5. Regular attendance.
6. May be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
7. Ability to maintain excellent relationships with staff and maintain staff and guest confidentiality at all times.

Position Summary:
The Massage Therapist is responsible for executing the guest experience to the fullest extent, ensuring all contact and communication with guests and residents is fluid and leaves them feeling they have received exceptional customer service.

Core Responsibilities:

1. Greet guests/residents at the Spa Front Desk or in the Relaxation Room.
2. Escort guest to their room(s), including the locker room(s). Show them key features of the room and articulately describe the service.
3. Provide all services to the highest standard and keep SOAP notes on file for each guest.
4. Resolve guest/resident problems and issues following proper conduct standards.
5. At all times, demonstrate the highest level of professionalism in dealing with guests, staff and managers.
6. Keep work area clean of all clutter while maintaining professional appearance and standards.
7. Participate in further learning activities up to and including product knowledge.
8. Maintain up to date knowledge of hotel services, products and procedures.
9. Focus on working in a safe manner and create a safe working environment at all times.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

1. Stand, sit and walk for varying lengths of time, often long periods of time.
2. Bend, stoop, squat and stretch.
3. Lift approximately forty (40) pounds of equipment or supplies on and off a cart, using safe lifting techniques.
4. Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
5. Grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, pulling, pushing, listening and hearing ability and visual ability.
6. Know and be able to administer first aid.
7. Direct evacuations in an emergency.
8. Must have finger dexterity to be able to operate office equipment such as computers, ten-key calculator, printers, multi-line tone phone, filing cabinets, photocopiers and other office equipment as needed.

Yountville, CA:
Requires compliance with California Massage Therapy Council (CAMTC) certification. Applicants must have 500 hours of education or pass a state-approved exam.
