Job summary

Ambling Management Company LLC is seeking a maintenance technician to perform a range of tasks around the apartment community, including preventative maintenance, repairs, and make-ready of vacant units.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED and 6 months to 1 year of related experience. Basic computer skills and familiarity with property management software are preferred; valid US driver’s license and HVAC certification are advantageous.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; literacy in English.
• Six months to one year of related maintenance experience or training.
• Basic computer skills including data entry and word processing; familiarity with property management software (One-Site, Real Page) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and complete preventative maintenance checks.
• Maintain inventory controls for cost-effective operations.
• Read maintenance manuals and service bulletins to determine repair methods.
• Complete all maintenance service requests as assigned.
• Complete make-ready process of vacant apartments as directed.
• Assist in monitoring all work by outside contractors.
• Responsible for 24-hour emergency maintenance responses.
• Carry on-call cell phone as required.
• Monitor and maintain all building systems as assigned.
• Alert the Property Manager of any unusual occurrences or damages.
• Complete grounds work as directed by the Property Manager (trash, sweeping, pressure washing, landscape).
• Complete quarterly unit-by-unit inspections.
