Job summary

Comstock is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for our luxury apartment community in Reston, VA. You will handle HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, carpentry, and general maintenance, providing proactive service and responsive support to residents.

You will perform preventative maintenance, on-call rotations, and prepare units for new move-ins, while upholding five-star service, safety, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; equivalent experience considered.
• Maintenance Technician with at least 1 year experience.
• HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems knowledge required; CFC certification preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide Class A customer service and build rapport with residents.
• Perform repairs, maintenance, and cleaning of interior and exterior property.
• Protect and improve the value of client assets.
• Perform PM on unit-based and building-level equipment.
• On-call emergencies rotation; respond promptly.
• Execute electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry and painting tasks.
• Repair showers, sinks, appliances, doors/cabinets, walls and exteriors.
• Make ready units for new move-ins.
• Complete grounds work and light landscaping.
• Other duties as assigned.
