Job summary

Comstock Companies in Reston, VA, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to service a luxury apartment community. You will handle HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repairs, performing preventative maintenance and responding to work orders with a resident-first attitude.

Candidates should have at least 1 year in maintenance, knowledge of HVAC/electrical/plumbing, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; equivalent experience considered.
• Maintenance experience of at least 1 year.
• CFC Universal Certification preferred.
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems required.
• Microsoft Office proficiency, especially Outlook.
• Building automation systems experience a plus; Yardi experience a plus.
• Valid driver's license with no major violations.

Responsibilities

• Provide Class A customer service and build rapport with residents.
• Perform repairs, maintenance, and cleaning of interior and exterior areas.
• Protect and improve value of assets.
• Perform PM on unit-based and building-level equipment.
• Respond to emergencies on-call in rotation.
• Repair electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, and painting.
• Repair and treat structures such as showers, sinks, doors/cabinets, walls.
• Make ready units for new move-ins.
• Complete grounds work and light landscaping.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
