Job summary

Summit Property Management in the Kingwood area is seeking Maintenance Technicians to keep our communities safe, functional, and welcoming. You will complete work orders, perform routine repairs, prepare vacant apartments for move-in, and support on-call coverage as needed.

Candidates should have 2+ years in general maintenance, HVAC certification, EPA universal license, and a solid understanding of safety and Fair Housing regulations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of general maintenance experience.
• EPA universal license for HVAC preferred.
• CPO license preferred.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations.
• HVAC Certification required; ability to troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment, plumbing, electrical systems and major appliances.
• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred; college-level/trade school preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency preferred.
• Bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders and other community maintenance.
• Strive to make the community appearance at or above quality standards at all times, including picking up trash, cleaning buildings and amenities on an ongoing basis.
• Look for needed maintenance and liability hazards and report them to Manager.
• Prepare vacant apartments for move in.
• Review the make-ready board and follow directions from the manager to determine actions on vacant apartments.
• Make all repairs and replacements necessary for the apartment to be occupied.
• Require working odd schedules and be on call.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
