Job summary

Northland is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for its Hartford, CT community, to handle service requests across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting and housekeeping, and to manage apartment turnovers for move-ins. The role requires reliability, safety, and guest-facing professionalism.

On-call shifts including nights and weekends are required, with after-hours emergency response as part of the job.

Qualifications

• Experience in general maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and painting.
• Strong communication and teamwork with residents and vendors.
• Own hand tools required.
• Travel may be required to assist other properties or training classes.
• Night, weekend and holiday shifts are part of the on-call responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance service requests and work orders across multiple trades.
• Perform HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and housekeeping tasks.
• Handle apartment turnovers for scheduled move-ins.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies and be on-call.
• Collaborate with residents, vendors and staff.
