Job summary

Indigo Living in Des Moines is seeking a Maintenance Service Technician to join our GO team, supporting after-hours emergencies and keeping communities running smoothly.

You will review make-ready checklists, operate the on-call vehicle, and work with Property Managers to obtain bids for repairs while stocking and maintaining a well-kept shop.

The role requires dependable, safety-minded individuals with maintenance experience and strong communication; weekend coverage is part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership mindset and a can-do attitude.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail in daily maintenance tasks.
• Willingness to adapt and cover a flexible work week, including some weekends.
• General maintenance experience with appliances, carpentry, plumbing or electrical knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Review make-ready checklists to ensure apartments are ready for new residents.
• Be part of the after-hours emergency rotation with a company vehicle.
• Partner with Property Managers to obtain bids and negotiate repair prices.
• Order supplies and maintain an organized maintenance shop.
