Job summary

Monroe Group Ltd. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform general building repairs and make-ready duties on vacant units. You will handle electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and other critical tasks to keep properties safe and functional.

The role requires scheduling, vendor coordination, and adherence to safety standards across multiple sites, including on-call emergency responses and regular preventive maintenance. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of maintenance technician experience including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair.
• Experience in an affordable housing environment preferred.
• Technical training and license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders and repairs including electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting and hardware.
• Schedule and complete preventive maintenance.
• Assist in monitoring work by outside contractors.
• Participate in annual inspections with vendors for backflow, elevators, and fire safety equipment.
• Provide 24-hour emergency maintenance call-out support.
• Maintain building systems and inventory; manage grounds around dumpsters.
