Occasions Caterers, part of Compass Group USA, is seeking on-call GENERAL LABOR/MAINTENANCE staff for the Washington, DC area. Location: Occasions Caterers – 655 Taylor Street, Washington, DC 20017.

Summary: Assist with day-to-day upkeep, maintenance and smooth operation of the building and campus. Responsibilities include minor repairs, cleaning, moving equipment and setting up facilities for events.

Qualifications

• One year of food service utility experience preferred.
• Valid Non-CDL Class C driver's license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality customer service by attending to details.
• Cleans and polishes furniture and fixtures.
• Performs minor repairs to doors, fixtures and furniture.
• Records information from meters and gauges to verify operating conditions.
• Adjusts and repairs heating, cooling, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Moves heavy furniture and equipment using hand trucks or by hand.
