Job summary

Alpharus Health in Aurora, IL seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for an on-call, part-time position within our residential/outpatient drug rehab setting. You will monitor medication administration, assist physicians, and perform initial health screenings according to protocols.

The role requires active LPN license, a high school diploma, and relevant nursing training; shifts vary and may include days, evenings, overnights, and weekends with on-call coverage.

Qualifications

• Current LPN or VPN licensure as required by state.
• High school diploma.
• 12–18 months post-high school nursing training with pharmacology coursework.
• Experience with administering medications and adherence to protocols.

Responsibilities

• Monitors clients self-administering medications and reactions.
• Works with RN to provide direct nursing care according to physician orders, nursing care plan or established protocols.
• Conducts initial health screenings and assessments of clients' medical needs.
• Assists physicians with client examinations or treatments.
• Charts vital signs, treatments performed and medications administered and maintains records.
