Qualifications

• Active LPN license in Illinois.
• Current BLS certification (or willingness to obtain during orientation).
• One year of experience in behavioral health, addiction treatment, or detox preferred; phlebotomy skills preferred.
• Strong critical thinking and assessment skills to provide high‑quality patient care.
• Knowledge of health care, detoxification process, addiction, co‑occurring disorders, and DSM Criteria preferred.
• Competency in performing CLIA waived testing.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a commitment to compassionate patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient health by evaluating physiological and behavioral health, monitoring vital signs, behavioral changes, and response to treatment.
• Administer medications safely and in accordance with prescribed treatment plans.
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and clinical staff to ensure appropriate treatment/discharge plan.
• Educate patients and families about addiction recovery and self-care practices.
• Document patient progress and maintain medical records with accuracy and confidentiality.
• Maintain a safe, structured environment that supports recovery and well‑being and respects the dignity and diversity of all individuals.
• Complete documentation and follow procedures outlined in organizational policies and procedures.
