Job summary

Nexstar Media Group, Inc. in Las Vegas, NV seeks a Broadcast Director to coordinate all technical operators during news and live productions. This full-time role requires flexibility to be on call for the News department and to work with AM teams as needed.

The ideal candidate will direct newscasts, coordinate production control, and ensure quality standards while optionally handling audio, live feeds, editing with Premiere, and teleprompting as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Fluency in English is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Minimum two years’ experience in News operations and Production.
• Proficiency with computers and broadcast control equipment.
• Ability to meet deadlines and multi-task under pressure.
• Ignite automation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct and/or technically direct newscasts.
• Coordinate technical control and production of programs.
• Ensure quality standards are met.
• Work with news Producers to deliver a clean, visually impactful news cast.
• Operate audio for daily newscasts.
• Handle live operations (satellites, microwave, and other live feeds).
• Edit with Adobe Premiere editing software.
• Teleprompting for daily newscasts.
