Job summary
KLAS 8 News Now in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a Broadcast Director to support the AM team with on-call flexibility. You will coordinate the actions of technical operators during newscasts and other live/recorded productions, ensuring smooth, high-quality output.
This full-time position requires a high school diploma, English fluency, and at least two years in news operations and production. Proficiency with broadcast control equipment and Premiere editing is preferred.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required.
- Fluency in English.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Minimum two years' experience in News operations and Production.
- Proficiency with computers and broadcast control equipment.
- Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and multi-task.
- Ignite automation experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Direct and/or technically direct newscasts.
- Coordinate technical control and production of programs.
- Ensure quality standards are met.
- Work with the news Producers to deliver a clean visually impactful news cast.
- May also perform: Audio operations for daily newscasts.
- Live operations (tunes satellites, microwaves, and other live feeds).
- Editing with Adobe Premiere editing software.
- Teleprompting for daily newscasts.
