Job summary

The City of Ellensburg is seeking a part-time, on-call Library Substitute to assist with daily library operations, including circulation, reference, youth services, material processing, and public computer use. The substitute position has no fixed schedule and will require weekend and evening shifts.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of related experience. Strong computer skills, a commitment to excellent patron service, and the ability to work in a team

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of related experience and/or training.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• EOE.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day library operations including circulation, reference, youth services, and material processing.
• Support special programming and public computer use; provide information and assistance to patrons.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as requested by supervisor.
