Job summary

City of Ellensburg is seeking a part-time Library Substitute to support daily library operations, including circulation, reference, youth services, material processing, special programming and public computer use. The substitute provides information, guidance and assistance to patrons.

There is no standard schedule or guaranteed hours; days and hours will vary and will include weekends and evenings. This on-call position requires reliable, courteous service, basic math, filing and the ability to

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of related experience and/or training.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assists with day-to-day library operations including circulation, reference, youth services, material processing, special programming and public computer use; provides information, guidance and assistance to patrons.
• Performs miscellaneous duties as requested by supervisor.
• Maintains confidentiality of patron records and supports a team-based library environment.
• No standard schedule; days/hours will vary and will include weekends and evenings.
