Job summary

Minnesota Adult & Teen Challenge is seeking an Alcohol and Drug Counselor to deliver treatment services, conduct assessments, and support recovery for clients in a licensed program.

The role requires Minnesota LADC licensure, strong communication and case-management skills, and the ability to work with clients with co-occurring disorders in a values-driven workplace with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Current alcohol and drug counseling license in Minnesota.
• Continues education as required to maintain licensure.
• Must be at least 21 years old and free from problematic substances for at least 1 year.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and modify treatment plans to meet licensure and client needs.
• Create and monitor individualized treatment plans and provide group and individual counseling.
• Maintain case documentation and notes for the caseload.
• Facilitate groups on addiction and recovery, and psychoeducation.
• Coordinate discharge summaries and post-treatment referrals.
