Riley Co. is seeking an On-Call Juvenile Intake & Assessment Officer in the Community Corrections Division to conduct intake and assessments for children in care, status offenders, or juvenile offenders.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Two years of college coursework in human services preferred.
• Must be twenty-one years of age or older and have a valid driver’s license.
• Knowledge of RCCC policies, KDOC JIA Standards, and Kansas Juvenile Justice Code.

Aufgaben

• Assist law enforcement officers to screen, assess, place, and release youths in custody.
• Respond to notifications within ten minutes by phone and within thirty minutes in person.
• Assess youth participation in interviews considering age, impairment, cognitive challenges, and trauma.
• Assess placement options for safety and least restrictiveness.
• Administer and score the Kansas Detention Risk Assessment Instrument.
• Administer MAYSI-II and refer for mental health assessments when needed.
• Refer youths and families to local services based on intake results.
• Conditionally release youths under court-ordered requirements when appropriate.
• Prepare and submit applicable state-mandated forms.
