Job summary

Geeks On Site is seeking an On-Call IT Field Technician to support residential and small business clients across multiple U.S. cities. This role is an independent contractor (1099) with flexible scheduling and no guaranteed hours.

You choose your availability and we dispatch jobs that fit your route and skills. Responsibilities include troubleshooting Windows and macOS, fixing networks, configuring printers, installing POS and mounting outdoor TVs, and maintaining professional customer service

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience in IT support or field service.
• Strong networking and diagnostic skills.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
• Own required tools including a laptop, drill, screwdrivers, cable tester, and RJ45 tools.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair Windows and macOS issues
• Resolve WiFi, router, and wired network problems
• Install and configure printers and scanners
• Replace or upgrade hardware components
• Reinstall operating systems using bootable tools
• Document work and communicate clearly with customers
• Install and support POS systems and run Cat5e or Cat6 cabling
• Perform outdoor TV mounting and basic AV setup
