Job summary

Generations Hospice is seeking an On-Call RN to deliver compassionate end-of-life care in patients' homes within travel territory. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, perform after-hours triage, and ensure timely documentation and patient comfort.

Ideal candidates hold an RN license, have 1 year of nursing experience (3+ preferred), and understand hospice philosophy. A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are required.

Qualifications

• RN license in the state of operation.
• 1 year nursing experience required, 3+ years preferred.
• Experience in hospice or similar setting preferred.
• Knowledge of hospice philosophy of care.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-call 7ON 7OFF coverage and hands-on patient care after hours.
• Assess and manage urgent hospice symptoms quickly and compassionately.
• Administer medications or adjust care per hospice protocols or orders.
• Communicate changes in condition with the physician and obtain orders as needed.
• Pronounce death if occurring during on-call hours and provide family support.
