Job summary

Good Shepherd Hospice is seeking an On Call Registered Nurse to serve patients and families in Springfield and surrounding communities. The RN will perform assessments, plan and deliver care per the Interdisciplinary Plan of Care, and support families with end-of-life needs.

Qualifications include Missouri RN licensure and hospice experience preferred, with strong communication and organizational skills. The role requires on-call coverage and collaboration with the care team to ensure

Qualifications

• RN license in Missouri required or active licensure
• Prior hospice, home health, or geriatrics experience preferred
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records and information
• Demonstrates integrity and reliability in a team setting
• Strong organizational and self-management skills

Responsibilities

• Receives patient assignments and coordinates care with Care Manager
• Communicates with physicians, hospice staff and other agencies
• Maintains up-to-date patient records and Plan of Care
• Educates patient and caregiver on medications, care tasks and safety
• Provides 24/7 coverage as part of a team
• Attends care plan meetings and supports bereavement and family needs
• Ensures proper documentation for Medicare and policies
