Job summary

NOVA Behavioral Health is seeking an On-Call Habilitation Technician to provide as-needed coverage in our residential and/or day treatment program in North Carolina. You will supervise and support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, following individualized plans and maintaining a safe environment.

The role emphasizes independence, communication with families and staff, and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Valid North Carolina Driver’s License.
Dependable and able to work independently.
Ability to maintain professional boundaries and follow established policies.
Genuine desire to support adults with intellectual, developmental, and mental health disabilities.

Responsibilities

Providing supervision, guidance, and support to individuals served.
Following individual Habilitation Plans, policies, and procedures.
Helping maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment.
Assisting individuals with daily living activities and basic needs.
Supporting individuals in developing independence and community integration skills.
Communicating effectively with individuals, families, coworkers, and supervisors.
Completing required documentation accurately and timely.
Responding appropriately to behavioral or other needs as they arise.
