NOVA Behavioral Health in North Carolina is seeking an On-Call Habilitation Technician to provide as-needed coverage in our residential and day treatment programs.

You will supervise individuals, follow Habilitation Plans, help with daily living activities, and support independence and community integration, with compensation of $13 per hour. This role is ideal for dependable individuals who want to contribute to a caring team serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid North Carolina Driver’s License.
• Dependable and able to work independently.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and follow established policies and procedures.
• Genuine desire to support adults with intellectual, developmental, and mental health disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Providing supervision, guidance, and support to individuals served.
• Following individual Habilitation Plans, policies, and procedures.
• Helping maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment.
• Assisting individuals with daily living activities and basic needs.
• Supporting individuals in developing independence and community integration skills.
• Communicating effectively with individuals, families, coworkers, and supervisors.
• Completing required documentation accurately and timely.
• Responding appropriately to behavioral or other needs as they arise.

About the Position:

The On-Call Habilitation Technician provides as-needed coverage in NOVA’s residential and/or day treatment program. This position may be called upon to cover staffing needs related to employee absences, vacations, emergencies, or other scheduling needs.

Responsibilities include:

• Helping maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment.
• Assisting individuals with daily living activities and basic needs.
• Supporting individuals in developing independence and community integration skills.

Requirements

Preferred:

• Experience in human services, behavioral health, developmental disabilities, or residential care.

• Flexible availability and willingness to accept additional shifts when needed.
