Job summary

ICOP seeks an experienced geotechnical engineer to design and estimate support of excavation, ground improvement, and foundation work in its Florida region. The role supports bidding and pre-construction activities and collaborates with operations and sales teams.

The candidate should have a strong understanding of soil mechanics, hold at least 5 years of relevant experience, and be eligible for PE licensure within one year. Remote or in-office in Miramar, FL.

Qualifications

• Strong technical writing, communication, and interpersonal skills required.
• Experience in geotechnical engineering design and prepare design packages for bidding.

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary designs of support of excavation and ground improvement systems.
• Provide feedback on feasibility of geotechnical design solutions.
• Prepare drawings and calculations packages for excavation and ground improvement with supervision.
• Conduct field observations of construction as needed.
• Collaborate with engineers, clients, and consultants.
