Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare is seeking a general surgery locum-tenens physician in Kansas to provide on-call coverage and elective case support. The role includes inpatient and outpatient duties with admissions and rounding, plus a mix of laparoscopic and GI endoscopy procedures.

Preference for surgeons with chest wall, breast, and hand experience and capable ventilation management. Credentials include hospital privileges and paid malpractice insurance, with pre-paid travel and housing.

Responsibilities

• 10 on-call shifts per month with clinic and elective case coverage
• 3 eight-hour clinic days per 10-day block
• Inpatient and outpatient required — admissions and rounding included
• General surgery – adult, pediatric, and trauma
• Laparoscopic — appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernioplasty
• GI endoscopy — upper, lower, and sigmoidoscopy
• Preferred: chest wall, breast, hand surgery, ventilation management
• Hospital privileges required
