Job summary

Global Medical Staffing seeks a surgeon for on-call coverage in a hospital setting handling adult, pediatric, and neonate cases. The role includes trauma and general surgery call duties, laparoscopic and OB/GYN procedures, and rapid response within a 24-hour cycle.

Expect call-based workload with 6–8 patients per shift and 3–5 admissions per 24 hours, plus 3–5 phone consults. Travel and housing are prepaid; malpractice is covered; licensing assistance is provided.

Qualifications

• Laparoscopic surgery skills required incl. appendectomy and cholecystectomy.
• OB/GYN surgical skills required including C-section, D&C, hysterectomy.
• Trauma and general surgery call coverage required.

Responsibilities

• Call coverage up to 10 days a month, ongoing.
• Handle 6–8 patients per shift; 8–10 patients seen per 24-hour call.
• Admit 3–5 patients and perform 3–5 phone consults per 24-hour period.
• Work in a hospital setting with adult, pediatric, and neonate cases.
• Provide trauma and general surgery call coverage.
