Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare is seeking a general surgeon for an on-call assignment in the United States. The role involves inpatient and outpatient coverage, including admissions and rounding, with opportunities in adult, pediatric, and trauma surgery.

Procedures include laparoscopic appendectomy, cholecystectomy, and hernioplasty, plus GI endoscopy. Candidate must have hospital privileges and be able to manage both clinic-based and hospital-based cases.

Qualifications

• Hospital privileges required.
• On-call coverage and time management expected.
• Ability to perform general, laparoscopic and trauma surgery.

Responsibilities

• Provide 10 on-call shifts per month with clinic and elective case coverage.
• Three 8‑hour clinic days per 10‑day block.
• Inpatient and outpatient admissions and rounding.
• Laparoscopic procedures: appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernioplasty.
• GI endoscopy: upper, lower, and sigmoidoscopy.
